Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says that choosing between Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus is "one of the toughest decisions" that he has faced.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has conceded that choosing between Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus is "one of the toughest decisions" that he has faced as a head coach.

Jesus has scored eight times in 14 Premier League appearances for City this season, but Aguero is expected to be given the nod to lead the City line in Sunday's Manchester derby away to Manchester United.

Guardiola has paid tribute to the qualities of 20-year-old Jesus, calling him "the best striker in the world" when it comes to the high press.

"Maybe it is one of the toughest decisions because both are top, both deserve to play," Guardiola told Sky Sports News. "I am so happy with both of them.

"When you play with two strikers, it is easy to take a decision. Gabriel is the best striker in the world in the high pressing. There is no one with the intensity and reading between the central defenders, attacking the holding midfielders from behind."

City will enter Sunday's Manchester derby with an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
