Pep Guardiola has warned his Manchester City players about their conduct over the Christmas period, following Phil Foden and Jack Grealish's night out on Tuesday.
As reported by the Daily Telegraph, Foden and Grealish have both been pictured in a nightclub together shortly after playing the full 90 minutes in City's 7-0 victory at home against Leeds United.
Both players were subsequently dropped from the starting lineup for the Citizens's 4-0 win away at Newcastle United on Sunday, with Guardiola stating they had not been rested and that their omission from the first XI was due to 'behaviour issues'.
The Spaniard is believed to have been unhappy with the condition of the two England internationals when they returned to the training ground for a recovery session the following morning, and has since warned all of his players to remain professional.
"It was not rotation. I decided this team because they deserved to play, these guys, not the others," Guardiola told BBC Radio 5 Live after City's win against Newcastle.
"At Christmas, I pay a lot of attention to behaviour on and off the pitch. When off the pitch is not proper, they are not going to play.
"So we have to be focussed all the time because of distractions at Christmas time and everything that happens – you have to still be focussed".
