Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has backed new signing Kyle Walker to have a "huge impact" at the club.
Walker joined in a big-money move from Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, reportedly becoming the world's most expensive defender in a deal worth more than £50m.
The England international made his debut for the club in their 2-0 pre-season defeat to Manchester United last week, and Gundogan has already seen enough to convince him that it is money well spent.
"[Kyle Walker will bring] a lot of pace, a lot of good defending abilities, I think he even showed in the first leg against Man Utd how much potential he has and what he can give to our team. I think he will have a huge impact on the season as well," he told ESPN.
City take on Real Madrid in the early hours of Thursday morning before finishing their International Champions Cup campaign against Walker's old club Tottenham.
