Gabriel Jesus has described Kevin De Bruyne as "one of the best players in the world" following the Belgian's impressive display in Manchester City's 7-2 win over Stoke City.
Pep Guardiola's side moved two points clear at the top of the Premier League table following Saturday's Etihad Stadium encounter, De Bruyne marking his 100th appearance for the club by setting up four goals.
After the game Stoke boss Mark Hughes claimed that De Bruyne was "head and shoulders above anybody else in the Premier League" and Jesus, who scored a double, was also full of praise for the 26-year-old.
"He is one of the best players in the world," the Brazil striker, who scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season in the victory, told Sky Sports News.
"His quality is outstanding as an individual out on the pitch, but it's the way that he makes that work for the whole team, and connects with the other players, that makes him special.
"Kevin deserves the love from the fans. We can't decide who they show their affection to but the important thing is that every player gives their all out on the pitch."
De Bruyne now has a combined total of 63 goals and assists for City in 100 appearances since joining from Wolfsburg in the 2015 summer transfer window.
