Serbia full-back Aleksandar Kolarov has claimed that Scotland are a "long ball" team and his nation play superior football.

Kolarov started at Hampden Park on Saturday as the two countries played out a goalless draw to open their World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Manchester City defender has insisted that Serbia will prove their quality against Wales on Tuesday.

He said: "I think we are a better team than Scotland. They played at home but I think we are a better team than them. And we are going to try to win against Wales.

"I think all the squads from the island play in the same way, with the long ball.

"We had this game and the last friendly game against Ireland, so we are used to playing against a team like this."

Serbia meet Chris Coleman's side on Tuesday, with both teams looking for their first win in a difficult Group A also featuring Belgium and Croatia.
