Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has launched a verbal attack on the media following suggestions that there is unrest within the club's dressing room.
Reports emerged last week claiming that a host of players within the Premier League-winning team are growing frustrated with manager Roberto Mancini due to the Italian's tactical changes in defence.
Despite these rumours, the Belgium international has insisted that there are no issues between the players and the manager.
"It's funny," Kompany told the club's official website. "I don't like to get involved in this, but sometimes I do question the integrity of a journalist who would write this. Based on what information does the guy come out with this?
"I never have a problem with performances being tagged down or up. People have the right to have opinions about that, but the stories are based on things that I can't even relate to, and I am in this team. I can only say I would put in doubt the integrity of any journalist who comes out with this."
City currently sit third in the league table, on level points with rivals Manchester United.
