Leroy Sane has dropped out of the Germany squad "for private reasons", the national team have announced.
The 22-year-old missed out on a place in this summer's World Cup team but earned a recall for the two matches in the current international break, featuring for the final seven minutes of last night's goalless draw with France.
The Manchester City winger held talks with Germany boss Joachim Low after that match and will now play no part in a friendly game with Peru on Sunday.
In a tweet today, the German national team confirmed: "Following discussions with head coach Joachim Löw, Leroy Sane has left the team hotel in Munich for private reasons and will not be available for #GERPER ."
National teammate Toni Kroos appeared to question Sane's attitude earlier this week, while he has also fallen out of favour with City boss Pep Guardiola this season.
