Manchester City have launched a bid to take away Kolo Toure's image rights, according to The Mirror.
The Ivorian has recently returned to the side following a six-month ban after he failed a drugs test.
It is reported that the player will attend a club disciplinary hearing today (Monday) to determine his punishment.
City had initially wanted to fine the 30-year-old but have now focused on his image rights, which are said to make up around 25% of his earnings.
Toure is expected to contest the punishment when it is delivered.
