Manchester City have withdrawn all media requests for player interviews ahead of next week's derby with Manchester United.
The club have also told players that they must not speak about the impending clash in Uefa's mixed zone after their Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night.
It is believed that the ban also extends to club sponsors as well the BBC and Sky Sports as the club look to prepare for their biggest of the game of the season thus far in a subdued manner.
The derby clash will take place on December 8 at the Etihad Stadium.
