Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has reportedly been told that he must close the gap on Manchester United in the Premier League table or face losing his job.
The Italian coach, who signed a new five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium in the summer, is believed to be under pressure after his side slipped six points adrift of table toppers Manchester United following their 3-2 defeat to the Red Devils on Sunday.
It is thought that the 48-year-old has been given three games to save his job after the club's hierarchy began to worry about the North-West outfit failing to win the English title for the second year in a row, according to the Daily Star.
Man City also dropped out of the Champions League after finishing at the bottom of their group.
