Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was happy with his side's performance as they opened up a three-point gap at the top of the table with a 3-0 win over Fulham.
Sergio Aguero's penalty, a Chris Baird own goal and Edin Dzeko's late strike earned City the win at the Etihad Stadium.
"We had a good performance this evening," said Mancini. "It was important to win quickly after losing to Everton.
We started well and put pressure on them and I'm happy. It was important we scored the first goal.
"If we want to win this league, we need to win lots of games here until the end. We can't think about United or Tottenham."
City travel to Aston Villa in the league next Sunday.
