Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted that he will only know the extent of Sergio Aguero's knee injury after a scan.
The striker was stretchered off in the early stages of Sunday's 3-2 win over Southampton at the Etihad Stadium following a challenge from Nathaniel Clyne.
"At the moment we don't know [about the injury]," Mancini told BBC Sport. "We need to wait for the scan in two days."
City continue the defence of their Premier League title at Liverpool on Sunday.
