Samir Nasri has said that the atmosphere surrounding the French camp is more relaxed than it was under former coach Raymond Domenech.

The Manchester City star was dropped from Domenech's squad before Les Bleus' dismal showing at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Nasri was labelled as a troublemaker during the Euro 2008 campaign, which France also exited at the group stage.

However, the 24-year-old now believes that the atmosphere is much more positive under Laurent Blanc.

"Everyone has their own methods," Nasri told AFP. "Domenech was more distant and he only spoke to certain players. We've started from scratch and all of that is far behind us. The horizon is very clear. It's better to look forward.

"A nucleus has been created with the same 16 or 17 players and at the moment, I'm a part of that. It would be presumptuous to say that I'll go to the Euros because you never know what will happen, but it does you good.

"Before, there was lots of uncertainty. I had to watch the TV to find out if I'd been called up. Now, the coach lets us know beforehand. We're more relaxed and we arrive with the desire to do well and to fight for him."

Nasri has earned 27 caps for France since making his debut in 2007.
