Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo has revealed that he is determined to build on the positive start to his career at the club.
The Spain international came off the bench to open to scoring in City's hard-earned 2-0 win over Hull City on Saturday.
The goal was Negredo's second in two games and the former Sevilla man is hoping that his performances will convince manager Manuel Pellegrini to start him in the upcoming games.
"Luckily for me I'm scoring goals and happy to help the team," Negredo told reporters. "Last week the goal didn't matter but this week it helped the team to open the scoring and with Yaya's goal we closed the game.
"I'm very happy with my performance. I would like to play more minutes but it is the manager's decision and I accept it.
"I will keep working hard to get more game time. I'm very happy and I've settled in well. I hope to keep helping City by scoring more goals."
Negredo joined City from Sevilla in a deal believed to be worth around £20.6m.
