Manchester City forward Nolito has insisted that he is feeling in peak condition after bagging two goals to help his side to victory at Stoke City.
The Spain international has made a positive start to his Citizens career, emerging from the bench to keep City's winning run going under Pep Guardiola on Saturday.
Nolito, who linked up with his former Barcelona boss Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium earlier this summer in a £14m move, insists that he has plenty to offer his new side over the coming years despite his late blooming.
"My age doesn't matter," the 29-year-old told reporters. "I feel really well and fit and want to play a lot of games and put in some great performances. Your age is just a number. I hope the sun will shine some more, but so far it has been good. The team is good, and I feel I will be happy here.
"Sometimes you start, sometimes you're a replacement, but the thing is that we won, and now we need to stay calm. We are all picking up the concepts of Guardiola and I am here because I know his style of play. It is not always easy - the conditions at Stoke weren't good and it was tough for us, but we did it and that is the important thing.
"We hear a lot of things from the fans and from the press, but we will always try to play our way, no matter what the conditions in any stadium. I didn't expect such a performance. We all know how tough the Premier League is."
Sergio Aguero scored the other two goals for City as they made it two wins from two at the Bet365 Stadium.
