Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that he has made a verbal agreement with Manchester City to become the club's new manager.
The Chilean has been widely tipped to take the reins at the Etihad Stadium ever since Roberto Mancini was sacked following City's FA Cup final defeat to Wigan Athletic.
"I have a verbal agreement with [Manchester City] and I hope it is carried out," Pellegrini told Andalusian television channel Canal Sur.
"It is true that Manchester City has shown much interest in me to be their coach and I have had conversations with them. There should be no problem, but until things are signed I cannot say it is done."
Pellegrini is available to move to the Premier League after leaving Spanish outfit Malaga at the end of the season.
