Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has criticised the lack of a winter break in the Premier League.
City host Liverpool this evening, before playing Crystal Palace on Saturday, and the Chilean coach is not a fan of the typically hectic festive period.
Speaking in his programme notes for the games against Liverpool, he said: "We play today and Saturday that is twice in less than 48 hours.
"[To play so many game in such a short space of time is] incredible, it is a very bad thing. Other countries stop. It's very important for players to have a break.
"We are fortunate to have such a big squad."
City have a 100% record at the Etihad this season.
