Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has expressed his "hope" that he will remain as manager at the Etihad Stadium beyond his contract, despite rumours about a move to Barcelona.
After this season, the Chilean coach has one more year left on his deal, but due to the current uncertainty at Camp Nou, reports have suggested that the Spanish giants are keen to recruit him, as well as welcome back City chiefs Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano.
Despite the reports, Pellegrini, who guided City to their second league title in three years last season, has insisted that he is content in his current role.
"I am very happy here and I hope I will continue," Pellegrini told reporters. "I have a contract this year and one year more."
Pellegrini also won the League Cup with City during his first season in charge in the 2013-14 campaign.
