Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti to Manchester City in exchange for midfielder Bernardo Silva.
The 28-year-old played a critical role in the Citizens' treble-winning campaign under Pep Guardiola in 2022-23, starting 24 Premier League matches and providing nine goal contributions.
Since his £43m switch from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in the summer of 2017, Silva has turned out on 306 occasions for City, scoring 55 times and helping the club to their first-ever Champions League success last term.
The Portugal international played the entirety of his side's historic victory over Inter Milan in Istanbul on June 10, ending the club's long wait for triumph on the European stage.
According to Foot Mercato, PSG want to bring Silva to Ligue 1, and are willing to send Donnarumma and Verratti to the Etihad Stadium in order to facilitate the deal.
Donnarumma joined Les Parisians in the summer of 2021 alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos, taking over as first-choice goalkeeper from former Real Madrid man Keylor Navas.
Compatriot Verratti has been at the perennial French champions since 2012, featuring in over 400 matches for the club after making the switch from Pescara in his homeland.
It is understood that Man City have quickly rejected the three-player swap deal proposed by PSG, although the two clubs continue to hold talks, as the Parisians' sporting director Luis Campos 'tests the waters' with his English counterparts.
The report claims that the Citizens value Silva at £70m, with the midfielder still having two years left on his current terms at the Etihad.
Guardiola's men are said to have offered the player a new and improved contract in an attempt to commit his long-term future to the club, meaning that the Portuguese playmaker would see a considerable improvement on his £150,000-per-week wages.
It was reported last month that Silva had informed Man City of his desire to move away from the Premier League, amid interest from PSG and La Liga champions Barcelona.
Xavi's men have since signed Ilkay Gundogan from the Citizens' engine room, with the German putting pen to paper on a two-year deal at Camp Nou.
The report also adds that Silva is willing to join PSG this summer, although the French side will still need to propose an offer which Man City will be happy to accept.
Silva and his City teammates begin their pre-season schedule with a friendly against Yokohama F Marinos on Sunday morning, before facing a tough trio of games against Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal.
