Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has reportedly expressed an interest in taking charge of Manchester City next season.
The 44-year-old has enjoyed a huge amount of success since taking over Los Rojiblancos and he was instrumental in guiding his team to the league title last season.
However, the Daily Star reports that the Argentine has cancelled talks of a new contract and is keen to take over at City, should Manuel Pellegrini leave next summer.
It is believed that Simeone has an escape clause in his current deal that would allow him to leave for the Citizens if they were to come in for him.
