Bacary Sagna: 'Manchester City can't just rely on Sergio Aguero'

Bacary Sagna admits that Manchester City must not rely on Sergio Aguero following Saturday's 2-2 draw with QPR.

Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna has admitted that the team can not always rely on Sergio Aguero following Saturday's 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers.

The striker netted twice at Loftus Road, including a late equaliser, as City lost further ground on leaders Chelsea in the Premier League title race.

While praising Aguero for scoring 12 goals in the league this season, Sagna believes that other members of the squad must share the responsibility in attack.

"We all need to rise up - we are all good players," the Frenchman told the Manchester Evening News. "There is a reason we play for City. We want to show everyone we can play for this team and succeed. We have plenty of games left and we want to keep our heads up.

"As long as Sergio scores, that is good, but we have a lot of good players who can do it. He is the one who changed the game. He scored twice - but we have many players who can do it. As long as he keeps pulling the team up, and we want to show we can raise our game and succeed."

City continue the defence of their Premier League crown on November 22 with the visit of Swansea City.
