Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne have returned to Manchester City training following their post-World Cup holidays.
Both players were granted absence from City's pre-season programme after reaching the semi-finals in Russia earlier this summer.
Sterling was a key part of England's best performance at a World Cup in 28 years, while De Bruyne was also influential as Belgium were defeated by France in their last-four tie.
The City duo are unlikely to feature in Sunday's opener against Arsenal on Sunday, however, after only being back in Manchester for a matter of days.
City ended their pre-season fixtures with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield.
