Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that new signing Raheem Sterling will make his debut for the club in Tuesday's pre-season friendly against Roma.
The England international sealed a £49m transfer to the Etihad Stadium last week to become the most expensive English footballer in history.
The 20-year-old joined up with his new teammates in Australia last week, and is expected to feature in City's International Champions Cup match against Roma at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
"Raheem has worked with us for three days - he will play also some minutes," Pellegrini said in a press conference. "It's important for him to try to have minutes with our team."
Fabian Delph and 18-year-old Patrick Roberts also joined City's English quota last week.
