Manchester City have announced the return of former player Sun Jihai in an ambassadorial capacity.
The 37-year-old has taken up the role of club ambassador in China to help promote the club in his home country.
"I'm more than happy to rejoin the big Manchester City family and take on the new role as an ambassador," former defender Sun told the club website.
Sun made 130 appearances for City during his six years at the club from 2002 to 2008 and was the first Chinese player to score in the Premier League when he netted against Birmingham City in October 2002.
