Carlos Tevez is reportedly expected to drop his appeal to the Premier League against a fine imposed by Manchester City last year.
The Argentina international revealed last month that he intended to appeal a six-week fine, which was enforced following the 28-year-old's decision to fly to South America without City's permission in November.
Despite losing up to £9m since abandoning the Premier League leaders last year, it is believed that the striker will withdraw the action, according to the Daily Mail.
The controversial frontman could make a sensational return to the City side after manager Roberto Mancini hinted that there could be a way back for the disgraced star.
