Yaya Toure has shrugged off claims that financial reasons were behind his decision to swap Barcelona for Manchester City in 2010.
The Cote d'Ivoire international will face his former club in a first-leg last-16 Champions League tie at the Etihad Stadium tonight.
The 30-year-old helped City to an FA Cup and Premier League success in his first two years at Eastlands following a £24m switch, and Toure insists that he instantly knew it was a good career move.
"As soon as I moved to City [I knew it was the right decision]," he told reporters at a press conference. "People criticise me, thinking I come for something.
"Since 2011, I have won a couple of trophies. This is the club who do everything for me and I am very happy to be here."
Tonight's encounter is scheduled to kick off at 7.45pm.
