Manchester City youth coach Patrick Vieira has welcomed new signing Eliaquim Mangala to the club.
The defender, 23, joined the Premier League champions from Porto on Monday for a reported fee of £32m.
City begin the defence of their Premier League title next Monday when they make the trip to Newcastle United.
