Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has suggested that Manuel Pellegrini would be the right man to take charge of the side for next season.
Pellegrini has been heavily tipped to join City after it was announced that he would be leaving current club Malaga this summer.
Zabaleta, who started his career under the Chilean at San Lorenzo, believes that he would be a positive appointment at the club.
"His football is great," the 28-year-old is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "Someone I know and trust has told me that he's a superb manager now.
"He's a very quiet person. He likes to play attractive football. Also his record in Europe is great – and that's something we haven't done so well in recent seasons."
Pellegrini joined Malaga in 2010 after a one-season spell at Real Madrid.
