Manchester City have won the Barclays Asia Trophy with a 1-0 victory over Sunderland in the final in Hong Kong.
Sunderland started brightly, but it was City who took the lead with nine minutes on the clock when Edin Dzeko rifled in a ferocious drive from the edge of the penalty area.
They almost doubled their advantage on the stroke of half time, but Matija Nastasic's header came back off the woodwork.
Manuel Pellegrini's side had the chance to seal the win from the penalty spot on 68 minutes following El-Hadji Ba's handball offence, but Dzeko blazed his effort over the crossbar.
Jesus Navas saw his shot cleared off the line by Craig Gardner late on, while Sebastian Larsson was denied by Costel Pantilimon at the other end.
