Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion confirm their starting lineups for this afternoon's Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola has made a total of four changes to his Manchester City starting lineup for this afternoon's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium.

Goalkeeper Ederson has withdrawn from the Brazil national team squad ahead of this month's international break and has been left out of Man City's matchday squad to face the Seagulls.

Phil Foden, Matheus Nunes and Bernardo Silva also make way from the side that started in the 1-0 loss at Nottingham Forest last weekend, with Stefan Ortega, Rico Lewis, Ilkay Gundogan and Omar Marmoush all handed recalls.

Protecting Ortega between the sticks, right-back Lewis will join Abdukodir Khusanov, Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol in a four-man defence, while Gundogan will link arms with Nico Gonzalez in centre-midfield.

Savinho and Jeremy Doku retain their places on the flanks, while Marmoush is set to operate in behind striker Erling Haaland, who is bidding to set a fresh Premier League record this afternoon.

Gomez replaces Ayari in Brighton XI

As for Brighton, Fabian Hurzeler has made just the one change to the side that beat Fulham 2-1 last time out, with January signing Diego Gomez replacing Yasin Ayari in midfield.

Tariq Lamptey served a one-match suspension last weekend as was available to return to face Man City, but the full-back has not been selected in Hurzeler's matchday squad, meaning that Jack Hinshelwood will continue at right-back, joining Jan Paul van Hecke, Adam Webster and Pervis Estupinan in the back four.

Carlos Baleba will play alongside Gomez in the middle of the pitch, while Yankuba Minteh, Georginio Rutter and Kaoru Mitoma will all provide support in attack for central striker Joao Pedro.

Brajan Gruda has returned to the matchday squad after missing the win over Fulham, but like Lamptey, Solly March has been left out and will not be involved this afternoon.

Manchester City starting lineup: Ortega; Lewis, Khusanov, Dias, Gvardiol; Gonzalez, Gundogan; Savinho, Marmoush, Doku; Haaland

Subs: Carson, Kovacic, Grealish, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Reis, Nunes, Foden, McAtee

Brighton & Hove Albion starting lineup: Verbruggen; Hinshelwood, Van Hecke, Webster, Estupinan; Baleba, Gomez; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Pedro

Subs: Rushworth, Cashin, Slater, Adingra, Ayari, Wieffer, Knight, Gruda, Welbeck body check tags ::
