AC Milan are reportedly keen on a summer deal for Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling.
The Italian giants would have a significant budget this summer if their proposed Bahraini takeover is completed, with the club potentially spending as much as €300m (£249m) ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Sterling has been identified by Milan as a leading transfer target, with the England international potentially available in the upcoming market.
The report claims that the attacker would be open to discussing a switch to the Serie A outfit, with his current deal at the Etihad Stadium due to expire in June 2023.
Sterling has again been a regular for Pep Guardiola's side during the 2021-22 campaign, making 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 times and providing seven assists in the process.
The Englishman has been an unused substitute in two of his side's last four Premier League matches, though, and only played the final 25 minutes of their Champions League quarter-final second leg with Atletico Madrid.
The 27-year-old has scored 128 goals and registered 93 assists in 332 appearances for Man City since making the move to the Etihad Stadium from Liverpool in July 2015.
However, a big-money deal for Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland could further restrict Sterling's football in Manchester next season. body check tags ::
