Manchester City attacker Bernardo Silva has revealed that he wants to return to Benfica before hanging up his boots.
The Portugal international came through the youth system at Benfica but only made three first-team appearances for the club before joining Monaco.
Silva's form in Ligue 1 earned him a move to City in the summer of 2017, and the 25-year-old has developed into a key player for Pep Guardiola's side during his short time at the Etihad Stadium.
The versatile attacker has a contract at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2025 but has revealed that he wants to play for Benfica again before the end of his career.
"I would like to go back to Benfica one day. There is a gap to fill. I was a young kid who had a dream of playing for his home club and not being able to fulfill that dream was hard. But I had to make some decisions and I don't regret it at all," Silva told the Daily Mail.
Silva scored a hat-trick in City's thumping 8-0 win over Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
