Bolton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest are understood to be interested in signing Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata on loan.
City recently recalled the 22-year-old Belgian from his loan spell at FC Twente due to a lack of first-team action for the Dutch side.
Bolton and Forest are now considering temporary deals for Boyata, according to Sky Sports News.
Boyata spent last season on loan at the Reebok Stadium.
