Ben Chilwell reportedly remains a prime target for Manchester City, despite the Leicester City defender playing down a move to the champions.
Amid strong links with an end-of-season switch to the Etihad Stadium, Chilwell insisted this week that "there is no reason" to leave Leicester.
The Daily Mail reports that City have not been put off by his comments, however, with Pep Guardiola a firm admirer of the England international and keen to add him to his squad.
Guardiola is on the lookout for a new left-back due to concerns over Benjamin Mendy, who has endured two injury-plagued campaigns in Manchester.
Chilwell is said to tick many boxes, including the fact that he is homegrown, and City are willing to pay £40m to land the 22-year-old.
Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka is also rumoured to be on Guardiola's radar for the opposite side of defence.
