Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic, the Italian club have announced.
The Italian club announced on their Twitter feed this evening that a deal had been reached for the 23-year-old.
Although the fee has not yet been announced, it is thought that City will pay €26m (£22.4m) up front with a further €3m (£2.6m) in add-ons.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini has insisted all summer that he wanted to sign another striker.
The club have been heavily linked with the Montenegro international for several weeks, while a deal to sign Sevilla's Alvaro Negredo has already been agreed.
City are currently playing in Durban on their pre-season tour. They are drawing 1-1 with AmaZulu at half time.
