Manchester City are reportedly confident of beating competition from Real Madrid to sign Spanish starlet Isco this summer.
Isco has openly admitted that he is considering a future away from current club Malaga, with City and Madrid leading the race for his services.
New City boss Manuel Pellegrini has a strong relationship with Isco and believes that he can make the potential deal a reality by offering regular first-team football at the Etihad, according to The Telegraph.
The 21-year-old is thought to be wary of sustained spells as a substitute at the Bernabeu, with attacking midfielders Kaka and Mesut Ozil both blocking his path to the starting XI.
City fans will get another chance to watch Isco later today when Spain face Italy in the European Under-21 Championship final in Israel.
