Manchester City are reportedly in contention to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic next summer.
Despite being frequently linked with a move to a top European club, the 24-year-old has just begun another campaign at Stadio Olimpico.
According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid are currently favourites to sign the Serbia international if a deal can be reached with Lazio at the end of the season.
However, it is claimed that Man City are well placed to take advantage should Los Blancos opt against securing the signature of the highly-regarded player.
The Premier League champions allegedly have a deal in place with his agent, putting pressure on Real to make a decision over their plans going forward.
Milinkovic-Savic has scored 33 goals from 171 appearances in all competitions since joining Lazio in 2015.
