Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly turned his attention to securing the signature of Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic this summer.
Jovetic has been linked with a host of top European clubs in the close season, with Arsenal, Juventus and Chelsea all rumoured to be keeping tabs on the Montenegro international.
City are prepared to meet Jovetic's wage demands of around £120,000 to beat stiff competition for the forward, according to The Sun.
Fiorentina admitted that they were open to selling their top scorer last week, while also signing a ready-made replacement in German international Mario Gomez.
The 23-year-old has also signalled a desire to seek a fresh challenge away from La Viola, after scoring 13 goals in Serie A last season.
