Abdisalam Ibrahim has revealed that Manchester City have released him from his contract.
The 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Stromsgodset, has reportedly attracted the interest of a number of Premier League clubs this summer.
"Yes, it's true the club gave me a free transfer last week and my advisors are speaking with clubs at this stage," Ibrahim told Sky Sports News.
"I'm hoping to have my future sorted in the next couple of weeks hopefully by mid-August.
"Stromsgodset have been really good to me and I have developed so much here, but now I would like to test myself at the highest level which is playing in the Premier League week in week out."
Crystal Palace are believed to lead the race for the Norway Under-21 international.
