Manchester City midfielder David Silva will reportedly become David Beckham's first marquee signing for new MLS franchise Inter Miami next summer.
The Spaniard has already confirmed that the current campaign will be his last at the Etihad, bringing the curtain down on a glittering 10-year stay at City.
However, Silva's next move beyond that is as yet undecided and The Independent claims that Beckham is lining him up for Inter Miami.
The former Manchester United midfielder is reportedly keen to tap into the Hispanic community in Miami and believes that a Spanish star such as Silva will help to build a substantial fanbase for the new club.
Should the move take place then Silva would miss the opening three months of the MLS season, which begins in March whereas Silva's contract does not expire until June.
Beckham has also been linked with moves for the likes of Lionel Messi and Edinson Cavani, although the pursuit of Silva is thought to be a more realistic option at this stage.
The 33-year-old has made more than 400 appearances for Man City since joining in 2010, helping the club to four Premier League titles, two FA Cups and four League Cups.
