Everton are reportedly preparing a move for Manchester City teenager Lukas Nmecha.
The 18-year-old netted for City's Under-23 team in the Checkatrade Trophy last week, and has also managed eight goals in six Premier League 2 appearances this season.
Nmecha will be out of contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer, however, and a number of clubs are believed to be closely monitoring proceedings with a view to a move.
According to The Sun, Everton are firmly in the race, with the club's director of football Steve Walsh working on the deal, which could take place as early as next month.
Nmecha has managed three goals in 11 appearances for England's Under-19 team.
