Manchester City winger Ferran Torres has reportedly moved a step closer to completing a transfer to Barcelona.

Last week, it was revealed that the two clubs had reached an agreement over a £55m fee, which includes add-ons and will be paid in installments.

While Torres is currently recovering from a broken metatarsal, the Spaniard's medical was due to take place on Monday morning.

According to reports in Spain, the 21-year-old has passed all of the relevant tests to put himself on the brink of a switch to Camp Nou.

The report suggests that a deal could be finalised by the end of the day, officially ending Torres's 18-month spell at the Etihad Stadium.

City manager Pep Guardiola has recently insisted that he has no issues with the winger leaving the Premier League club less than midway through his long-term contract. body check tags ::
