FIFA has given Celtic permission to complete the loan signing of Manchester City striker John Guidetti.
The Swedish player met with the Scottish champions on deadline day and agreed the move, but the paperwork for the transfer was filed after Monday's 11pm deadline.
The Scottish Football Association appealed to FIFA on Celtic's behalf for the deal to be ratified, and the organisation released a statement this afternoon, saying: "After checking the documentation received and the information contained in the international transfer matching system managed by FIFA TMS, the Scottish Football Association was informed today that the envisaged loan deal may proceed."
The 22-year-old joined Manchester City in 2008, but has made just one League Cup appearance for the club since completing the move.
