Bayern Munich were reportedly offered the opportunity to sign Manchester City attacker Gabriel Jesus during the summer.
The German giants, who recorded a stunning 7-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League on Tuesday night, were strongly linked with Leroy Sane during the recent transfer window.
A serious knee injury ultimately scuppered Bayern's chances of signing the Germany international, but according to Bild, the Bundesliga champions were given the opportunity of signing Jesus from the Premier League champions.
The report, however, claims that Bayern turned down a swoop for the Brazil international as they are still determined to land Sane from Pep Guardiola's side.
The 23-year-old is believed to be making strong progress in his recovery from a knee operation, with a recent report claiming that he could return to the field in the early stages of 2020.
In Sane's absence, Jesus has scored four times in seven appearances for the Citizens this season.
