Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has ruled out an approach for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
Guardiola is currently in the hunt for another player to feature in the centre of the pitch, and reports have suggested that Pjanic may leave Turin for the Etihad Stadium.
However, Guardiola has moved to halt speculation regarding the Bosnia-Herzegovina international by claiming that the Premier League champions have no interest in the 28-year-old.
The Spaniard is quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying: "No, he's a player for Juventus. We are not interested - he's a top player but we are not interested in him."
Guardiola had hoped to bring in Jorginho from Napoli, but the Italy international has instead linked up with his former coach Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.
