Bayern Munich's honorary chairman Franz Beckenbauer has claimed that Pep Guardiola is "not allowed" to sign any of the club's players this summer.
Guardiola will take charge of Manchester City at the end of the season and is expected to dip into the transfer window.
The Spaniard has been linked with moves for Bayern trio David Alaba, Thiago Alcantara and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, but Beckenbauer has insisted that the club will block any potential transfers.
"This is not allowed to happen," Beckenbauer told Bild. "If it was the case, that's not right. But I don't think Guardiola would do that.
"In my eyes it's difficult for all involved - both for Bayern and for Pep. There is always new speculation."
Guardiola took charge of Bayern in 2013.
