Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is allegedly keen to sign Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
While Kroos has made 26 starts in La Liga and the Champions League this season, the German was an unused substitute when City faced Los Blancos in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
According to reports in Spain, this led to a conversation taking place between Guardiola and the World Cup winner regarding a potential transfer in the summer.
Although the 30-year-old has a contract until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, Real intend to make changes to their squad later this year in order to reduce their wage bill.
As it stands, other players are more likely to depart the Spanish giants, but Kroos could be made available if Luka Modric sees out the remaining year on his contract.
Since signing for Real in 2014, Kroos has made 264 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals.
