Manchester City have allowed Yangel Herrera to move to Huesca on a loan deal for the rest of the campaign.
Herrera has spent the last two seasons on loan at New York City FC, with a total of 38 appearances being made for the MLS outfit since March 2017.
The 21-year-old returned to Man City at the end of last year, and Pep Guardiola could have potentially regarded the midfielder as backup to Fernandinho.
However, the Venezuela international has been sent out to Spanish side Huesca to continue his development in La Liga.
Herrera still has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, with his future at the club likely to be decided during the summer.
