Inter Milan sporting director Marco Branca has hinted that they may try to bring Mario Balotelli back to the club in the summer.
Balotelli joined Manchester City from the Italian giants in 2010, but his time in England has been surrounded by controversy since the £24m switch.
His off-field antics and reported bust-ups with both manager Roberto Mancini and his fellow teammates have led to speculation on the striker's future, with City apparently willing to let the 21-year-old leave.
Speaking at a press conference to unveil new signing Fredy Guarin, Branca suggested that Inter may be interested in offering Balotelli a return to the San Siro, but any talks must wait until the end of the season.
Asked about Balotelli, Branca said: "I don't want to be rude and I will respond briefly. Balotelli is not a topical interest issue. Today, we talk about Guarin and about the pleasure to have him among us.
"As for Mario, there will be time to speak about in one or two months".
Balotelli has scored 17 times in 30 appearances for the Citizens this campaign.
