Gabriel Jesus has put talks over a new Manchester City contract on hold until the end of the season, according to a report.
The Brazil international is said to have rejected the Citizens' initial offer of a £90,000-a-week deal, which would have taken him through until 2023.
Jesus will instead delaying resuming talks until the summer, however, with the Daily Mail suggesting that the striker is holding out for a six-figure weekly sum.
City had hoped to tie down the 20-year-old to fresh terms in December, prior to his two-month injury layoff, but discussions failed to progress.
The same report indicates that Jesus, who currently earns £65,000 a week at the Etihad Stadium, is still expected to put pen to paper before heading off to the World Cup.
